   Through out the year, the Hoosier Chapter and the 
   Society sponsor activities and conferences on land and
   water management issues designed to keep conservation
   professionals up to date with conservation science 
   technology and practices.

   

  Local Events:
   Local workshops, field days, and tours organized by local 
   chapters provide customized educational opportunities to 
   keep members current with new and innovative
   conservation technology. Check Activities Calendar for 
   current scheduled events.

  Annual Conferences:
   The annual conferences provide members with the
   opportunity to keep current on developments in land and
   water conservation to exchange views with an
   international network of professional conservationist.

  Certification:
                  The Certified Professionals in Erosion and
  Sediment Control  program (CPESC)
  sponsored by SWCS in conjunction with the
  International Erosion Control Association,
  provides training and  certification for
  individuals in the area of erosion and
   sediment control and urban water quality. For more

Environmental Education
                   A key to SWCS’s education program includes
    a series of award winning conservation
    booklets, "Environmental Adventures" -a
    series of eight educational booklets for
    8-11 year-old children. These booklets help
   elementary school students understand human
   relationships with the natural world. For more details
